Just saw an interesting piece in the Times. It seems human children learn by imitation of others, while chimps are better able to understand the motivations behind the actions of others and adjust their behavior accordingly.
Uh oh. Does that mean that after the zygote hatches I need to pick up all the crap I leave around the house, change lightbulbs when the switch is off, wash the dishes punctually, take out the trash before 2am, and make sure my clothes are neat?
This could be more work than I thought.
Yes it does, especially the part about keeping your clothes neat! How can we teach the zygote to not go around in holey clothing when their dad's shoes are coming apart?!
