Part of d.w.'s homework for our Bradley class is to sit cross-legged to help tone, um, a variety of muscles. So when we passed a garage sale today, serendipity slapped us in the face:
That's right. For a couple of bucks we bought us a Nintendo. All we need now are some Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles and maybe a little New Kids on the Block, and the time warp to 1988 will be complete.
[Coda: d.w. has now been playing for about 20 minutes, and she just said, "Wow, I'm not sure my fingers can take much more of this. How could we possibly have done this for hours as kids?"]
[Another coda (wait...can you have two codas, or is a coda singular by default? Discuss.): Notice the Strawberry Shortcake pajama pants. This is more of a throwback than I had originally thought...]
Do you mean I can now come visit and play Tetris 2? Could you find one at a garage sale? In exchange I'll paint two rooms for free!!

Don't forget- you're more prone to carpal tunnel when you're pregnant.

Ah, the sweet, sweet nectar of Nintendo. Were I not hopelessly addicted to Xbox and Playstation (neither of which I have time to play) I'd follow your path down memory lane and pick one up.
I will not, however, be buying Strawberry Shortcake pajamas any time soon. Transformers? maybe...

Hmmm...high school Latin's getting a little fuzzy...I think coda is singular, plural would be codae.
Then there's the Wikipedia entry, which for some nerdy reason cracks me up:
Coda may refer to:
* Coda (music), a passage which brings a movement or piece to a conclusion through prolongation
* Coda (album), a 1982 album by rock group Led Zeppelin
* Coda (British band), a rock band from Wiltshire
* Coda (Mexican band), a rock band from Mexico
* Coda (Australian band), a band from Australia
* Syllable coda, in linguistics, the final consonant(s) of a syllable
* Coda (file system), an experimental filesystem from Carnegie Mellon University
* Coda System, a role playing game system developed and published by Decipher
* Coda (Wildstorm), a group of fictional female warriors in Wildstorm comics
* Coda is a character in the miniseries The Scene (played by Dinarte Freitas)

Absolutely genius!
Come to think of it, I have a Nintendo emulator on my laptop.
Sometimes when April and I want a cheap date night we share the keyboard and play Mario Kart together.
